| It was the date of June 23, 2001 when Beijing was fixed upon by the eyes of the people in the world. For supporting Beijing’s bid for the Olympic Games, three world-famous tenors Panotti, Domingo and Carreras jointly performed in the Forbidden City of Beijing. Tens of thousands of audience went to the performance, setting off a new upsurge of Beijing’s bid for the Olympic Games. At the same day, Mr. Yuan was invited to do the sketched wash portraits of the “Three Tenors” for appreciation and thanks. |
